Scholarship Application

The Women’s Business Network (WBN) empowers business women by fostering meaningful connections, building skills and resources, and offering professional development opportunities.

As part of our mission, the WBN funds a scholarship program for women pursuing business-related degrees at Utah Valley colleges and universities. They also provide an annual grant for local women who need funding to grow their small businesses.

Each year, at least two grants and scholarships are awarded in December, with recipients selected based on their professionalism, academic achievements, and career aspirations. Information on the application process can be found below.

Eligibility Requirements and Benefits

Scholarship Application Requirements

Applicants must be women currently enrolled in a declared undergraduate business-related degree program at a regionally accredited Utah County college or university.
Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Applicants should plan to engage with and become part of the WBN community (previous involvement a plus).
Recipients must use scholarship funds for academic purposes.

Small Business Grant Requirements

Applicants should be running a small business established for at least 1 year (and less than 10).
Applicants plan to really engage with and become part of the WBN community (previous WBN involvement a plus).
Applicants will share their plans for future growth and a business plan, if requested.
Recipients must use grant funds for business expenses.

How to Apply

Applications will be open starting April 1, 2025, and must be submitted by August 31, 2025.

Complete and submit the application by the due date.
Complete an interview, if requested.

Application Review Process

Applications will be reviewed after the August 31, 2025 deadline. Interviews may be scheduled to ensure a comprehensive evaluation. The WBN Board of Directors will finalize selections and notify recipients.

The WBN Scholarship Program depends on the support and generosity of our community. Sponsorships of $2,500+ offer organizations promotional opportunities at one of WBN's biggest events of the year: the Holiday Luncheon & Silent Auction. In-kind donations for this event, such as silent auction baskets and table sponsor gifts, make a big difference and the proceeds go towards providing these grants and scholarships to women in need. Sponsor perks may include recognition on promotional materials and comped benefits to be negotiated.
